For the next few days I am sharing the daily Sabian Symbol for the Sun, the ruling Planet of the sign of LEO, from the book “A Screen of Prophecy” by Diana E. Roche. The Sabian Symbols are a set of 360 symbolically descriptive images, each of which is accompanied by an interpretation of each image. Each symbol matches an astrological degree of the 360 degree astrological wheel. They were originally brought into existence on some unrecorded date in 1925 by Marc Edmund Jones and Elsie Wheeler.
Theme : On the verge of experience. This symbol speaks to anticipation, and to a childlike eagerness for new experience. The focus here is on innocense and the absence of mind-set, or prior conditioning. The image of the human soul awaiting opportunity for expression alludes to readiness, alertness and naïve expectation. At its highest, this symbol represents an intuitive gift for knowing the right time and place to act and a willingness to give the whole of self to any effort. At its lowest, the fear of new experience as a result of an inability to think things through clearly or boredom and apathy.
Opportunity: Your greatest advantage lies in knowing when to act. Use your intuition and be alert to the signs that tell you it’s time to make your move.
Risk: Guard against procrastinating or missing your chance because you are afraid to make a decision. Don’t hide your light under a bushel too long.
It is more important than ever to go back into innocense at this time of drastic change and look at the world with new ‘eyes’. We are being forced to do things differently and we need to connect to this idea and go within to intuit what is being offered to each of us.
