What are miracles and who performs them?

Miracles are dramatic, extraordinary, often spontaneous events and happenings that occur that are beyond the reach of our imaginings.

We can ask for a miracle, we can be honoured to witness a miracle, however, we do not create miracles. Sometimes miracles even happen without our asking.

Many people have given up believing in miracles. For them, the age of miracles belongs to the early church, when awe-inspiring events—like Moses parting the red sea, the virgin birth, and Jesus rising from the dead—confirmed the authenticity and divine nature of God and Jesus. But just because we don’t see phenomena of biblical proportions occurring today does not mean that miracles do not happen. Science cannot explain all phenomenon and we are reminded by extraordinary tales that we must not give up hope and faith that the door to miracles is closed. We always have been and always will be a part of a much larger miracle called ‘life’ , which in and of itself means that the energy of miracles is available to each of us.

Whether you call it prayer or conversation, the point is that we have to have faith and believe that our requests are heard and acted upon.

Faith is derived from Latin fides and Old French feid, is confidence or trust in a person, thing, or concept. In the context of religion, one can define faith as “belief in God or in the doctrines or teachings of religion”. Therefore two key factors of FAITH are CONFIDENCE AND TRUST.

TRUST is such a powerful word in our culture that it has wound its way into our Western Legal Systems. Trust in this sense forces people to TRUST each other through legally binding contracts and structures, which allows people the CONFIDENCE to transact with each other.

However, there are many situations where trust is required without legally binding contracts and I am certain that many people have experienced a level of mistrust in their lives. To lock down TRUST and CONFIDENCE is to close off to FAITH and the energy of MIRACLES. The energy of OPENNESS is required in order to be able to TRUST. You must be firstly be able to be open and honest with yourself so that you TRUST in yourself, which then allows for this energy to be experienced in your external world.

AS WITHIN SO WITHOUT, AS ABOVE SO BELOW. Then our trust can extend beyond our imaginings to the level of MIRACLES.
