Day 71 of 460.

The angel message for today is : “Keep up your positive thoughts and ideas. Don’t allow other people or situations to sway you from your intentions”.

In relation to work intentions not everyone is in the fortunate position to be able to work from home but whatever it is that you are currently doing it can still be done thoroughly and with purpose. Regardless of whether you are able to work from home or not, with such major changes it is easy to overlook the small things that can make all the difference to a successful day.

A recent publication from the Australian National University suggests that if you are working from home or using more technology to stay in touch, it is important to make sure that your home computer set up is as ergonomic as possible to ensure that you are looking after your posture. They also suggest that regardless of your set up, to take regular posture breaks, a bit of movement every 30 minutes and ensure regular breaks of 5-10 minutes every two hours.

Taking a lunch break of a minimum of 30 minutes and using that time to get some exercise is also very important while working or using technology from home.

It is also recommended to maintain your usual daily routine as much as possible. Get up, shower and dress at your usual time, start and finish work or other structured activities at your usual times and stick to your usual sleeping habits. This will assist you not only during your time working from home, but will make it easier to transition back into the workplace when the time comes.

Of course, there are many other issues such as juggling personal responsibilities and staying productive each day but for parents who are home schooling I am certain that managing this will take time and effort and that your contribution is very important.

As difficult as life might seem at the moment, if you maintain your intention to keep your thoughts positive, you will identify activities that deserve your attention and effort and time spent on them.

Finally remember that YOU are not defined by your job, your position, your family, your partner, your wealth. YOU matter regardless of what you are doing. It is the intention and purpose of who you are BEING that matters and that in bringing all of yourself to things that may initially seem trivial and small, you will achieve a sense of personal reward, not only to yourself and those close to you but possibly to your community as well.
